Leapin' Lizzie!

Kate has a new cousin. Elizabeth Rolfe Oliphant was born this morning, Saturday, August 27, at (we think) 8:29 AM, Central Time. Mark just called us from the hospital and Sara is doing well. Sara's water broke last night and she started having serious contractions. They were at the hospital by 1 a.m. It was all very similar to the way Kate was born, although Sara started pushing earlier than Candace did. Lizzie, as she'll be called, is eight pounds and two ounces and Mark says she arrived with a full head of dark hair.

We can't wait to see our niece -- and for Kate to meet her cousin. It's wonderful that they will grow up together. (and their second cousin Nadine was born this summer, too)

Pictures to come.....
